The Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana (MKSY) is the flagship scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government to support the education and health of girl children. In 2024, the total benefit was increased from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000.

Eligibility Criteria
- Residence: Must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh
- Family Income: ≤ ₹3 Lakh per annum
- Children: Maximum 2 daughters per family
- Birth Date: Girl child born on or after April 1, 2019
Special Cases
- Adopted daughters are eligible
- Twins are counted as separate beneficiaries
- Orphan girls can apply through legal guardian
Documents Required
- Birth Certificate of the girl child
- Aadhaar Card of parents and child
- Income Certificate (from Tehsildar)
- Bank Passbook (mother's account preferred)
- Passport-size photographs
- Address Proof (Ration Card / Voter ID)

- Visit mksy.up.gov.in
- Click on "Quick Link" → "Citizen Service Portal"
- Register with mobile number and OTP
- Fill the application form
- Upload documents
- Submit and note your Application ID
