Eligibility Criteria

  • You must have a valid domestic (Residential) electricity connection.
  • You must have a suitable roof area with clear sunlight.
  • The solar panels must be "Made in India" (DCR compliant).

How to Apply?

  1. Register: Sign up on the PM Surya Ghar Portal with your Mobile Number and Consumer ID.
  2. Apply: Submit the application for Rooftop Solar.
  3. Feasibility: Your local DISCOM (PVVNL, MVVNL, etc.) will approve technical feasibility.
  4. Installation: Choose an empanelled vendor in your district (Kanpur, Lucknow, etc.).
  5. Net Metering: DISCOM will install a Net Meter after setup.
  6. Payment: The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account within 30 days of commissioning.
