Eligibility Criteria
- You must have a valid domestic (Residential) electricity connection.
- You must have a suitable roof area with clear sunlight.
- The solar panels must be "Made in India" (DCR compliant).
How to Apply?
- Register: Sign up on the PM Surya Ghar Portal with your Mobile Number and Consumer ID.
- Apply: Submit the application for Rooftop Solar.
- Feasibility: Your local DISCOM (PVVNL, MVVNL, etc.) will approve technical feasibility.
- Installation: Choose an empanelled vendor in your district (Kanpur, Lucknow, etc.).
- Net Metering: DISCOM will install a Net Meter after setup.
- Payment: The subsidy is credited directly to your bank account within 30 days of commissioning.
