7th Pay Commission in UP
The 7th Central Pay Commission was implemented in Uttar Pradesh from January 2016. All state government employees receive salaries based on the revised pay matrix.

Current DA Rate (December 2025)
Dearness Allowance: 53% of Basic Pay
DA is revised twice a year (January and July). The current 53% rate is effective from July 2024.
How In-Hand Salary is Calculated
Earnings (जोड़)
- Basic Pay — As per pay level
- DA — 53% of Basic
- HRA — 9%/18%/27% based on city category
- TA — Transport Allowance
Deductions (कटौती)
- GPF — 10-12% of Basic
- GIS — Group Insurance Scheme
- Professional Tax — ₹200/month
- NPS — 10% for new employees

For a Lekhpal (Level 6, Basic ₹35,400):
