When to Choose Which Regime?
Choose New Regime if:
- ✅ Your salary is below ₹12 lakh
- ✅ You have minimal deductions (no home loan, less investments)
- ✅ You want simpler tax filing
- ✅ You're a new employee
Choose Old Regime if:
- ✅ You have home loan (Section 24: ₹2 lakh interest)
- ✅ You invest ₹1.5 lakh in 80C (PPF, ELSS, LIC)
- ✅ You have health insurance (80D: ₹25,000-50,000)
- ✅ You claim HRA benefits
- ✅ Your total deductions exceed ₹3.5 lakh

How to Switch Regimes?
- Salaried Employees: Can switch every year while filing ITR
- Business/Profession: Once chosen, locked for that year + next 4 years
