Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the official notification for UPTET 2026 on 20 March 2026. This is a major opportunity for teaching aspirants as UPTET is being conducted after 4 years.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Paper 1 (Primary Level - Class 1-5)

Candidates must meet ANY ONE of the following:

• Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed (appearing candidates also eligible)
• Graduation + BTC (appearing candidates also eligible)
• 12th (50%) + D.El.Ed (appearing candidates also eligible)
• Graduation (50%) + B.Ed (appearing candidates also eligible)
• 12th (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed

Paper 2 (Upper Primary Level - Class 6-8)

Candidates must meet ANY ONE of the following:

• Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed (appearing candidates also eligible)
• Graduation + BTC (appearing candidates also eligible)
• Graduation (50%) + B.Ed (appearing candidates also eligible)
• Graduation (45%) + B.Ed (as per NCTE norms)
• 12th (50%) + 4-year B.El.Ed
• 12th (50%) + 2-year D.El.Ed (appearing candidates also eligible)

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: No upper age limit
• Age Relaxation: As per UP Government rules
